The official roster is available through the “Adults in Custody” page within the Corrections Division section of the Yamhill County website.
The county page contains an embedded roster displaying current custody information. A user can review the available entries and look for the person’s legal name.
When searching, use the person’s full legal name rather than a nickname. Check alternative spellings when the name contains hyphens, multiple surnames or commonly shortened first names.
Newly arrested people may not appear immediately. Booking officers must first complete identification, fingerprinting, photographing, medical screening and other intake procedures. The roster may also change when someone is released, transferred or taken to court.

An Arrest Does Not Mean a Conviction
A person appearing on the Yamhill County Jail roster has not necessarily been convicted. Many people in county jails are awaiting an initial court appearance, trial, release decision or transfer.
Charges listed during booking are allegations. Prosecutors may later reduce, change or dismiss them. A judge may also find the person not guilty, while some cases may be resolved through a plea or diversion programme.

A person who is not listed in the county roster may have been transferred to another Oregon facility. The Oregon Victim Information System, known as VISOR, allows users to search for individuals currently in custody or under supervision throughout the state.
VISOR also allows people to register for confidential notifications about qualifying custody changes, including release information. The incarcerated person is not informed that someone has registered for notifications.
